GSL-1800X-PGEP is a versatile synthetic system designed for nanostructured oxide materials. Three major modules (Ultrasonic Enhanced Bubbler, Tube Furnace, and Electrostatic Precipitator) are employed on three processing steps including aerosol generation, thermal decomposition, and nanopowder collection. Such a system enables an advanced synthetic method that provides control over particle size, morphology, and nano/microstructure.

System Structure

- Aerosol Generation: 2.4MHz Ultrasonic Enhanced Bubbler can "evaporate" catalyst liquid with literally no heat generated. A stainless steel liquid collector connected in line with the ultrasonic bubble can prevent condensing liquid from streaming into the furnace tube chamber.
- Thermal Decomposition: Tube Furnace can be heated up to 1800C maximum. Bypassing the droplets flux across the temperature and atmosphere-regulated firing zone, chemical, and physical conversion processes proceed.
- Nanopowder Collection: 50KV, 2'' O.D tubular designed electrostatic precipitator (1.2L) can effectively collect nano-size particles from the carrier gas flow

- Note: Due to the complexity of the controller operation, we strongly suggest customers purchase this PC control kit along with the furnace and our engineers will have the software & hardware pre-installed.

| Processing Tube |
- Premier grade high purity Al2O3 ceramic tube is included for operation @ 1500C~1800C. (I.D: 44mm x OD: 50 mm x 1200 mm length). Attention: carrier gas flow rate should be strictly controlled @ 100SCCM or less.
- Mullite tube (I.D: 44mm x OD: 50 mm x 1398 mm length) is included for continuous operation up to 1500C. Benefits from its high thermal shock resistivity, it can endure a max. carrier gas flows rate @ 200SCCM.

Sealing Flanges & Fittings |
- Left sealing flange with 1/4'' feedthrough, needle valve, and mechanical pressure gauge. A 1/4'' O.D x 17'' L alumina tube is inserted into the main chamber. It can deliver the aerosol to the hot zone directly.
- Right KF50 quick disconnect flange provides direct coupling for the electrostatic precipitator.

Ultrasonic Atomizing Generator

316 Stainless Steel liquid container equipped with a fluoropolymer sealing ring and a heating tape 1.7 MHz ultrasonic generator installed with a PEEK base 3 levels of power output ( low = "1", liquid injection speed = 0.2 mL/min), (middle = "2", liquid injection speed = 0.4 mL/min), (high ="3", liquid injection speed = 0.6 mL/min). To achieve high atomizing quality, the syringe pump rate should be match with the power output level. 7 levels of time setting ("Out" indicator light), "1" = no limited timing, "2" = 30 min, "3"= 60 min, "4"= 90 min, "5"= 120 min, "6"= 150 min, "7" = 180 min Droplet size: < 10 microns, which is dependent on the viscosity of the solution, ultrasonic frequency, and gas speed. Continuous mode and timed mode can be set. The quick clamps allow easy removal of components for cleaning or adapting the device with simple connections to the gas supply

Electrostatic Precipitator

Up to 30 kV and 1 mA.
- A KF25 quick clamp and flange enables the quick coupling to the furnace processing tube.
- Another KF25 port is built-in with the collector to connect the vacuum pump. (The vacuum pump is required, but do not included in the standard package.)
- PTFE plates are installed on top and bottom to insulate high-voltage electrodes
- 12mm gas outlet built-in.
- The electrode rod is in the shape of a cross, increasing surface area compared to cylindrical electrodes.
- Adjustable supports keep the collector leveled with the furnace tub.

Application Notes
 |
- Never use graphite crucible in the alumina tube.
- A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator.
- Never heat the furnace while the gas release valve is closed and a positive pressure condition exists within the furnace chamber. The pressure gauge must be used to closely monitor the chamber condition at all times during the heat
- The flow rate for gases should be limited to < 100 SCCM (alumina tube); <200SCCM (mullite tube)
