2 3/8" OD larger diameter Alumina tube with high purity 95% Al₂O₃ material. Such an alumina tube can be used at operating temperatures to 1700 ^oC in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. Tubes have been evacuated to 10^-7 Torr at room temperature. It proves inert to carbon and refractory metals in many severe situations:

Warning	Do NOT use an alumina tube under a vacuum at a temperature > 1500°C. Max heating or cooling rate < 5°C/ minute. Please keep the thermal gradient less than 100°C/ inch to avoid cracking. Please separate parts from the inside surface of the tube to avoid thermal shock. Please handle the tube carefully. No warranty for the tube.
