MTI corporation provides the high quality Alumina (Al₂O₃) foam block with hardening alumina coating for high temperature tubing furnaces in universities, companies, and national labs. It comes with the specifications as the following:

• Max. working temperature:  < 1700ºC
• Diameter:  206 mm (8.11") ± 2mm (0.08")
• Length:     100 mm (4") ± 2mm (0.08")
• The block must be put in the place between sample and flange.
• Fit MTI's GSL-1100X8 Tube Furnace.

• To prevent dust-falling issue and ensure a cleaning process, it is suggested to apply a thin layer of alumina adhesive material on the surface of the foam block. Please click underline to order.
• For direct delivery of precursor gasses over the heating zone, customer may drill a hole in the alumina block for sticking a 1/4" O.D. quartz (<1200ºC) or alumina (<1700ºC) tube to deliver gas into the furnace tube center. Porous alumina block is very soft and it can be hand-drilled through easily.
